Figueras designs and manufactures premium seating for auditoriums, theatres, cinemas, and stadiums across more than 150 countries. Every installation is unique: each seat must fit precisely in its position, following the exact geometry of the venue, with no margin for error.

This precision makes every project a custom engineering exercise — generating a large volume of items, versions, and CAD documents that had to be managed manually. Loading each project into ERP Navision with no automated flow between systems led to inconsistencies, outdated items cluttering Windchill, and a time-consuming synchronization process between engineering and manufacturing.

Two applications from the Windchill Utilities suite were implemented to automate and control the data flow between Windchill and ERP Navision.

Bulk Creation & Update Tools enabled an automated, Excel-driven interface between both systems: Windchill maintains the updated mBOM while Navision holds the BOM specific to each project. Items can be created and updated in bulk, eliminating manual input and ensuring data consistency across the engineering-to-manufacturing workflow.

Download Baseline Components streamlined the distribution of project documentation to suppliers and partners by grouping files — primary content, attachments, and object representations — into structured baselines. This ensures that 2D and 3D files are always distributed in their correct version, with Windchill remaining the single, up-to-date source.
